To give you a quick resume of my background; I completed a BA (Hons) degree course in Media Production at the University of Glamorgan, at the Atrium campus in Cardiff, where I gained an Upper Second Class Degree [2.1].
As part of my course I studied Film and Video, Radio Production and Creative Industries. During the course I have produced a number of short films and was involved in the filming of various documentaries. As part of my final year assignments I produced, filmed and edited a short film called ‘Bag for Life’ and a documentary on Seb West, an artist living and working in Cornwall. I also had the opportunity as part of a project to film an operation taking place in a hospital operating theatre, in a short film called a ‘Day in the Life of a Consultant’. As part of my radio production module I participated in the live radio transmission of the University’s ‘Radio Exposure’, which ran for three weeks.
On my CV I have listed the various skills that I possess and the experience I have gained so far. Now that I have gained my degree I am eager to find employment and put my skills into practice. My main interests and strengths, lay in camera work, filming and in editing but am equally proficient in other aspect of media production.
I enjoy working as part of a team but also quite capable of working and accomplishing tasks under my own initiative. In attaining my degree I had to work under pressure and meet deadlines and I feel confident that this experience will stand me in good stead in a work place situation. I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to detail. I am flexible, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others. I am enthusiastic and able to use my own initiative and be creative, when approaching new tasks.
